Sophie Breen

As the Recruitment & Retention Manager, Sophie leads on attracting, hiring, and supporting the people who make the charity's services possible. She also manages a small team, working closely with colleagues across the organisation to understand what great support looks like and how to find the right people to deliver it. With 10+ years experience in recruitment across a range of sectors, Sophie brings a strong understanding of both frontline and specialist roles. She holds a LLB (Hons), a Certificate in In-House Recruitment, and a Level 5 qualification in People Management. She's passionate about creating a positive experience for both new starters and existing colleagues. She takes pride in finding people you genuinely care and in seeing the difference they go out to make in the lives of the people WCL supports.
