PART-TIME

Learning Disability Support Worker

 in Ellesmere Port

No experience? No worries!

As a part-time Learning Disability Support Worker, no two days (or nights) are alike - much like the diverse individuals we support. We focus on person-centred planning, tailoring our services to suit the unique needs of each person we support. And we're deeply committed to working towards positive outcomes for every individual, celebrating even the smallest milestones on their journey to personal growth.

This is a part-time role (28 hours), paying £12 per hour during day shifts, plus £45 per sleep-in shift.

For sleep-in shifts, you'll:

  • have a private space with your own bed

  • remain on-site overnight

  • be available to respond quickly if needed - though minimal interruptions are expected

About the role

About the services

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work across two of our disability-supported living services in Ellesmere Port - Guernsey House and Park Drive.

Guernsey House is home to three women in their 20s who use wheelchairs and all share a love for fashion, beauty, shopping, and coffee outings. One resident communicates using Makaton, adding a unique and meaningful layer of connection within our community.

At Park Drive, we support two men and one women, each with diverse needs, a variety of hobbies, and are involved in their local community.

We’re seeking someone who can share in their passions and offer support, along with a keen sense of fun and motivation. Our focus is on fostering social connections and personal growth, creating a caring and nurturing environment where everyone can thrive.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience with Makaton communication would be beneficial

  • Full UK Driver's license (required)

  • An interest and willingness to engage in the hobbies of the people we support at Guernsey House and Park Drive

  • Most importantly, we're seeking compassionate people who share our vision and values.

Although previous experience would be great, it’s not essential, as all training and qualifications are provided on the job.

If you're driven to transform lives, you’ll fit right in with us.

This role is open to female applicants only to ensure the comfort and dignity of female residents who require personal care. If you're interested but don’t meet this specification, please get in touch, as we have other roles that welcome all applicants.
